A custom wedding gown is something that dreams are literally made of.  Taylor Lane will work with you to get a sense of your style and personality, helping us manifest a gown that is oozing with your distinctive charm.

Consultation

When a new Wedding Gown Consultation is scheduled we will discuss choosing from our silhouette styles,
sizes, and fabrics that best suits your needs and budget.

Once we have determined what style is desired a basic quote will be put in writing to keep on hand. Click here to see our price list and design packages.

Design sketches and fabric swatches based your on your ideas will be presented during the first fit meeting.

 

Your Appointments

From start to finish there will be a required 3-4 fitting appointments. The first appointment consists of taking your full body measurements and trying on a sizing garment to establish a basic size to begin work on what is called a mock up (a garment made from a muslin fabric to prefect your pattern before final production begins).

The last 2-3 meeting will be to view fabric swatches and to further revise the fit and design.

To avoid last minute stress, it should be noted that a late change in shoes and undergarments or lack there of can effect the final fit of the garment.

 

Alterations

Taylor Lane garments are custom designed; each design takes about an average of 6-8 months. Three to Four fittings are required and will be a major part of getting your gown made in a timely fashion and with the proper fit. The Final undergarments planned to be worn with the dress should be worn at all fittings to ensure size consistency. Taylor Lane Designs does not offer alteration services after the garment has left the premises.

Delivery / Lead Time

The estimated lead-time of your order is between 6-8 months, from the date of deposit and final order confirmation. We recommend you order the dress at least 6 months before the wedding.
