corsets, waist cinchers, Custom Wedding Gowns, Custom prom dresses and more
In 2003 Taylor Lane Designs was founded to fill a void that was apparent in the garment industry.
The corset has long been viewed as an undergarment or something you would only wear to an elaborate occasion and are mostly only available in the common over bust or under bust styles.
It became Taylor Lane's mission to bridge the gap between the corset and everyday clothing by breaking out of the box.
The contemporary styles offered are bringing about a new refreshing generation of corsets that can be worn as part of an everyday wardrobe or dressed up.
Taylor is dedicated to the art of sculpting a woman's body through corsetry.
"I love puzzles, and corset making is just that, it is about figuring out how to construct a garment that will mold the wearer's body to perfection and still be comfortable at the same time".
The corset is the oldest form of shape-wear; it has transcended time and played a major role in fashion history.
The earliest record of corseting comes from Minoan culture and dates back to 2500 BC. Since it's creation the corset has been made from many different types of materials; including fabric, leather, whale bone, wood and even iron. It has evolved through many different methods of construction to define the desired shape of the period.
The corset is a timeless garment with a rich history that will never go out of style.
